Mute gently stents and dilates the nasal airways allowing snorers to breathe more easily through their nose and keep their mouth closed during sleep. In turn, this reduces the vibrations in the airways that can cause disruptive snoring.
By improving breathing through the nose, Mute can also reduce snoring that is caused by night-time nasal congestion or obstructions such as a deviated septum.
In trials, 75% of couples reported a reduction in the frequency and volume of snoring and found it more effective than other products.
WHAT CAUSES SNORING?
Snoring is very common and it often has more than one cause. Underlying causes of snoring can be difficult to diagnose and may relate to deformities of the nasal septum (the cartilage between the two sides of the nose) and the other internal nasal structures.
Snoring may also be caused by blockages of the nose due to nasal allergies or colds or can result from the use of medication or alcohol. It is not uncommon for women to snore during pregnancy.
Important: Mute nasal device is not for the treatment of sleep apnea. If you think that your snoring may be a symptom of sleep apnea, you should consult your doctor or a sleep specialist.

FITTING
FOR THE FIRST TIME
Mute is a respiratory technology designed to gently open your nasal airway during sleep, and increase airflow through your nose, to reduce mouth breathing.
By breathing more freely through the nose, Mute can reduce the effects of night time nasal congestion or structural nasal obstruction, and therefore reduce snoring.
Mute is made from ultra-soft, medical grade polymer and is safe for use in the nose during sleep. Use Mute only as directed.
